I'm a certified EFL instructor and have been teaching ESL and EFL for nearly 20 years. I have had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of students in many different situations. Ten years ago I made my home in the Canary Islands, bought an office and began teaching there. I am a supporter of the natural method; meaning my classes are not grammar based and not taught with the nose in a book. I make extensive use of sentence formulas and cognitive maps which I feel is a much more effective way for a student to absorb grammar. I am assembling my ideas and teaching tools in this section in hopes that they may be of some use to students and teachers alike. As of March 2005, these materials will be cleaned up, updated, and added to. You can check my What's New section on the main page for current updates to the site. For now, please ignore any inconsistencies in style and don't use any of the forms you may see at the bottom of some of the pages. They need to be "re-tooled".
